Wine region of the month: Rheingau

The Rheingau is one of 13 production areas for quality wine in Germany. It extends a on a narrow strip between the here flowing westward Rhine and north of it heights of the Taunus, but also includes the vineyards in Wiesbaden and on the north bank of the Main between Flörsheim and the Main River Delta mainly west of the Rhine knee at Wiesbaden.
